BetaLED is a division of Ruud Lighting Inc., a high-quality indoor and outdoor LED light producer. Global demand for BetaLED products is accelerating quickly as municipalities and businesses look for bright, yet efficient lighting solutions.

Challenge

To develop an extensible website to support global business expansion and help prospects (architects, engineers and specifiers) obtain detailed product information and installation examples quickly and efficiently.

Solution

We developed a website that could be expanded to reach other countries and showcase additional products over time, translated into many languages, and feature country-specific products and pricing. Although we believe in consistent messaging, we knew that the country-specific web sites needed to be flexible enough to feature local products and noteworthy installations. In addition to a combination of centralized and localized content, our global strategy included geo-specific SEO plans and domain recommendations. Based on the requirements identified during the discovery and strategy phase of the project, we recommended Kentico CMS as the technology platform. In addition to allowing the BetaLED team to update content easily, this CMS provides the ability to create new versions of the site as the company continues their rapid global expansion.
We provided website design, user experience, and technical development and QA services throughout the project. We also worked closely with Ruud’s design team on exploration and application of the brand’s design guidelines for digital. The Ruud team was responsible for content creation and loading of all content.

Results

The website is an ongoing resource for tools and knowledge and showcasing various installations has kept target audiences coming back to the site.
